About Us

BU4U LLC is founded by a real personal caregiver that has been on the frontlines of caregiving before she was a teenager. Laurie's mother had a mental break when Laurie was only 11 years old. Laurie's mother had gone from institutional settings, to group home settings, to in-home supportive services. Laurie's mother has a lengthy complicated diagnoses history from PTSD to schizoaffective disorder. 

Laurie also has a brother with a Traumatic Brain Injury that has complicated life for him and the family tremendously as well. 

From a vey young age, Laurie has continued to work diligently advocating for her family. 

Being a caregiver can lead to burnout and codependency. The lack of healthy coping strategies as a caregiver to unhealthy boundaries almost destroyed Laurie's life. However, it has led Laurie to find a better way. Despite the mistakes and actions taken during a time of being broken, the darkest times in Laurie's life has positively impacted her life forever.
